Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple Ale

This beer broke my heart.

First off, it’s from Rogue, which makes some of my favourite beers.

And then it has the Voodoo Doughnuts labeling, which is always fun.

And then of course, it’s Bacon flavoured.

Bacon Beer.  Bacon and Beer. Like cheeseburgers, chili fries, and, well, some other compounded food stuff, you can’t go wrong taking two of your favourite things and smushing them together.

But this- The taste was not what I would call good. It has a passing resemblance to bacon, but is overwhelmed completely by the Maple syrup and has an aftertaste that is just off putting.

I’m so sad about this. It’s kind of like finding out the girl of of your dreams is a Nickleback fan.

I’m going to go cry now.
